Christmas themes 2021

1.DIY DÉCOR/CRAFT STYLE

I think this theme has been predicted for a number of reasons, covid being one, well many! Going through times like we have can often adapt our priorities, family comes first and gone are the days when you want to throw away your kid’s artwork. With this trend, it is all about crafting and recycling, so if the environment is important to you, this is the trend for you, providing it works with your interior. We are talking knitted angel baubles, felt robins, and wreaths made of real greens and berries, dried oranges, and cinnamon. Think country chic. For those of you who neither have the time or interest to craft, fear not, as the stores will be brimming with handmade style décor. This year’s décor encourages us to come together to celebrate life and people.

2. WARM WHITE CHRISTMAS

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?? Because I am, although please wait until I get back to Ireland for the holidays! This theme is based on the stunning Scottish highlands, its snowy landscapes, and the wildlife that inhabits it, it has a stunning timeless colour palette to include warm neutrals, soft blue’s, and hues of silver. This look is all over the shops and is quite an easy look to build on, just layer, layer, layer.

3. Neon Forest

This theme is all about fun, there is no holding back, is it tacky but  considered tack!! In this theme, layering is essential, lots of variety and colour. Think bright, bold and loud! It all about stepping away from the day to day grind and dreaming of mythical fairy tale creatures, except this time we do it with a modern twist. Vibrant colours and neon lights are key, sequins galore.Your tree should resemble some sort of magical enchanted forest, with rich Jewel tones to create a luxurious yet fun look.

4. ARCHITECTURAL GLAM

As the name suggests, this trend comes from the architectural landscape of the city, were talking little mini skyscrapers, but in an elegant and ornate style. We see glistening mirror, glass and other reflective surfaces. We see lot of golds, off whites and champagne.
