NURSERY DESIGN

My Approach

I was asked to design, implement and project manage this nursery with a very short lead time and a very vague brief.

The client needed me to control the project entirely and was happy to leave it to me. I spent a little time getting to know the client and very soon after began the first start of the design process; concept design, I came up with two very different styles, one of which I was sure the client would go for and he did, straight away.

After this, I received an image from the client which he really liked, this was based on the style I had proposed but the furniture was more detailed.

I surveyed the room and completed a layout plan for the space and then began sourcing all the items and compiling a sourcing document for ordering the products and keeping on top of the budget.

I presented to the client and they loved it all, so I went ahead and processed the furniture order as it can sometimes can have a long lead time. I also organised for quotes for all works needed and these went ahead.

After all the works were done, I went to site to complete the installation along with my team to fit the curtains and dress the space with the last finishing touches. The client was left with a finished product ready for the new arrival.

Project Costs– How I price my design fee is by quoting based on the individual project/clients needs, as everyone’s needs are different. I keep my fee cost  separate to the project cost as I design to your budget and requirements This particular client had a very specific brief and the client just wanted all the hassle to be taken a away from them and be very lightly involved and they had a comfortable budget of 10k to complete the space to include product, and trades needed to implement the project. I charged the client £650 pounds, but this was to complete the whole project inclusive of staging it, I even put a few essentials in the wardrobe!!Staged payments are considered.

I offer a no obligation consult and quote if you would like a clearer idea of the costs involved.
